Hey guys. I've gotten a few requests in forum boards and on private messages as to how I've set up my PowerAuras addon. The exports are so long, I figured rather than saturate the "Show Off Your Own UI" thread, I'd start this one instead.

What this Addon setup does:
* Places icons spaced underneath your character when abilities are available to cast in combat:
- Explosive Shot
- Aimed Shot
- Hunter's Mark
- Serpent Sting
- Sniper Training Buff Timer
- Black Arrow
* Displays a cooldown timer for these abilities (HM/SS times the debuff, not the ability cooldown)
* Displays a crisp blue aura around your hunter when Aspect of the Viper is enabled
* Displays a warm red aura around your hunter when Lock and Load procs




Directions: Download PowerAuras and extract it to your addons folder. Go into the game and type /powa to open the configurating screen. Tab out, copy one of these aura codes, then tab back in, click the "import" button, and paste the data and click okay. Rinse and repeat for the remaining aura codes. Note that for timer buttons, they import without any placement formatting. Click "edit", select the "timer" tab, then slide the X and Y coordinates to the indicated values.

Oh, I like the Viper stuff! What kind of resources does this use? Would it be worth it just for setting up viper/full mana notifications?

So I tired to set this up, specifically the Viper one, and had a bit of trouble. I think posting the code here injected some empty character spaces that messed it up. I took out all the ones I could find (minus those in the spell name) but all I got was the aura graphic setup with no activation modifiers.

I fiddled with it some on my own and figured out how to make one to display when my mana was full and one to display when Viper was on, but not the two conditions together. Is that possible and if so can someone explain how? I must be missing something if so.

When I did it there was a space in front of the name which prevented it from correctly seeing the buff. Deleting that space made it work correctly.

Even with the new code, I'm still only getting the graphic setup linked to the spell but with no modifiers other than Cast by me. So that follows if all the aura does is put the graphic around you when you're in Viper.

How did you get that message though, "Full Mana, Viper is still on!" though?

Thanks for the heads-up. Dropped the code part into a code tag to prevent spaces being inserted unnecessarily. Note that you do not need to copy the name in brackets - that's apparent with the new formatting.

AFAIK, it's impossible to create conditionals for viper that something only displays when viper is on AND mana is at 100%. My opinion would be to play with the alpha settings for visibility so that visibility is much more prominent when both conditions are true and thus two auras are displayed. The Full Mana, Viper is still on!" quote is from the addon ViperNotify. It creates a raid warning for you when both conditions are true, and you can edit it to display at percentages under 100%, even.

EDIT: Okay, just copied all the icons back in, and I can get them all working as intended with all the correct modifiers, EXCEPT that it seems Powa does not export screen placement values, so they'll all stack on top of your character! That's not very useful. Everything else is still showing up, and I"m not getting any unnecessary spaces (using IE7), so make sure you're copying only the code and nothing else! I'm adding back into the OP my screen placement values (X,Y), so hopefully that should help your problem!

just a note: if the screen placement is a little off on your screen, just adjust afterwards.. (Could just be screen size, etc that is changing things for you).

Warhawke, the issue I was having was that the timer countdowns you managed to sneak in there are both right on top of each other, so I basically can only see 1 of them at a time. I've just attempted to remove the timer countdown ones, as I've found it really works nice to put KHT bars right underneath your icon placement (Similar to your screenshot here.. only the timer bars are tight below your icons)

That said.. anyone know how to get KHT to display Tranq Cooldown? (for my no-rogue Sarth 3D attempts) and how to get Expl Shot Cooldown without all of the other "Talented abilities" showing up too?

if you do not have a rogue to dispell it, I think your tranq wont do any good since it is not AOE type of shot, plus long (relatively) CD makes it worthless during that encounter.
