Arent Bears getting a a buff in 2.3? Like a charge ability or dash? I'd like to see a "Paw Swipe" or "Bear Claw" that has a 10% CoH to stun for 1sec or something along those lines..maybe bleed dmg as an alternative. I think the CoH stun would be OP in beast spec though :P

So no cool looking tamable mobs other than the bear =( Why the hell do they use that plain blah tan skin for all these cats... I wish they would make cooler skins. I think they like tamed mobs to be average looking. Hawkbane was cool, cause its only white cat at 70, then it was bugged and blizz took it out. Hopefully when you search farther you will find more =) GL and thanks for keeping us updated Fritti!!

I think they are being careful to also give normal-looking pets. There are certain skins which are either rare, or new, or just look nice which people will want. Not all of them are flashy, white, spotted, or striped. I can understand the draw of some of those lynxes, they're pretty.

Sure, there's the "whoa, awesome bear" factor. At the same time, sometimes you just want something aesthetically pleasing.

It's sa shame they didn't allow the golden dragon hawk to be tamable, though.

I posted this in a different thread haven't seen an answer. Has anyone tried to level a pet in 2.3PTR ? I remember they were going to "make this easier" but I haven't read anything about it.

I understand wanting to keep it normal-looking, just hoping to see a mob(rare/elite) with a diff skin. I haven't seen the mobs in ptr, so im guessing the tan lynx are the same looking ones that are found in lower lvs? Good in one way(dont have to grind 50lvs to get it to 70), bad in another(nothing different than we've already seen).
Most ppl on my server use either cat(black striped or white) or ravager (purple or blue). Just gets old seeing same ones everywhere. I like solid color mobs too. Had Humar, panther, and the tan lion. I didn't mean to imply I wanted to see all kinds of crazy colored mobs lol, I should of explained a little better =)

What is it about WoW's Troll inhabited outdoor instances that bring out my inner hunter? I solo tamed a ZG Bat when that first hit and when i saw these cool bears are tameable i had to see if these could be solo tamed as well. After copying over I found a nice mage to sit in a raid with(he was DC'd). After Farting around and making it much harder than it is I Tamed one of these guys and I'm hoping Bliz doesn't let this go live because then i would have to choose between Sian(cat), my Ravager and my Turtle(Who STILL isn't to 70). So Please Blizz if this is tamable when 2.3 goes live give us another Stable slot! :-)

Haha! They do, don't they. I can think of a few reasons:

- they aren't caves.
- they are often jungle-themed.
- Trolls are often portrayed as hunter-types. I believe even Zul'jin was a hunter, right?

I think it's the outdoor, open aspect. We feel like we could stalk, kite, etc much more. In a tunnel, there's much less freedom, in theory.

The bears are pretty. However, the important question is: how do they fare DPS-wise? Especially compare to, say, a ravager? Still a slow attack speed, big hit? How are there abilities? Any stats in a raid environment, their damage output?
