Eyes of the Beast = Removed
Just FYI, Eyes of the beast is being removed.
I doubt I'm the only person who liked using it for jumping my pet across places where it wouldn't path, and for general foolishness. Now you're going to have to stand there for 5 seconds casting "dismiss pet" every time you need to jump down a ledge, and you won't be able to get exact positioning for screenshots. Maybe it's not a big deal to most people. Maybe I'm too hard to please. Maybe I'll get Cata anyway and like it, but right now I've not played or paid for WoW for 2 months, and I intend to keep it that way unless I see something that draws me back.

The goto button uses the normal pathing system and you can't get your pet to face a certain way or jump off ledges.
I used EotB a lot, for general foolishness. None of that will be possible with a simple goto command.

This just in: Fire still hot

I use it extensively too when soloing raids for proper raid-boss positioning, seems a bit hasty of Blizzard to just plain out remove it when the replacement doesn't really cover all its uses.

Is the "go to" command an actual trainable ability, or merely another option on the pet bar? |

Er...direction is easy, you just use two commands (move behind where you want, move to where you want). I agree with Shandara, but screenshots are not the problem.
(And goto itself replacing stay is another example of the same point...)

The immediately apparent reason for them to remove EotB is that we have too many keybinds, but they should be rolling things like wing clip and concussive shot into a single ability, and making serpent sting trigger LnL, so that SV can get a more interesting talent than a DoT.
The whole reason for making the "holy power" system for paladins is that they simplified everything to the point that the class was too easy to play. Combined with the lack of any real need for CC, entire paladin groups could faceroll instances all day, even if they weren't great players. If the guys who did that to paladins would even so much as fart in the general direction of hunters, we might never again have anything to complain about.
